About 

The Canine Cruciate Registry (CCR) is funded by RCVS Knowledge, who are dedicated to advancing the quality of veterinary care for the benefit of animals, the public, and society. They are the charity partner of the RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons).

RCVS Knowledge manages the Advisory Group and Steering Committees, who provide clinical oversight for the project. The CCR portal is managed on a day-to-day basis by Amplitude Clinical Outcomes , a global leader in online registry software.

Our mission

To improve canine cruciate patient outcomes and minimise complications, by supporting clinicians to evaluate which surgical techniques and implants are most effective and advance their quality of care.

Steering Group

The Canine Cruciate Registry Steering Group has been developed to represent a broad spectrum of the veterinary profession. It comprises two specialists in small animal orthopaedics, two experienced GP vets, an epidemiologist, a lay member, representation from the RCVS Knowledge Quality Improvement Board and representation from the British Veterinary Orthopaedic Association (BVOA), who are endorsing the project. The Steering Group will meet annually to discuss data and results, the publication of annual reports and make decisions on issues including potential research collaborations.
